Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette

URBAN DECAY GWEN STEFANI BLUSH PALETTE:

I got this palette for my birthday and thought it was great especially for travel!

The packaging

The shades from a distance

The shades close up.
The packaging is really pretty and innovative. It does look like the eyeshadow palette, but the colours are switched around on the eyeshadow palette. The palette felt heavy and sturdy, and so it felt high-end. But there can be fallout in the palette, so if that is a pet peeve of yours then you may not like this as much, as some shades may even end up mixing... or the palette may be dirty from fallout.

This is the top row- L-R- Cherry, Easy, Angel
The bottom row- L-R- Lo-fi,  Hush, OC

Some of the shades don't swatch well, but most of the shades did, especially considering that the swatches were without primer. O.C however doesn't show up on my skin.

Lo-fi
I use this for bronzer and not for contour, but it could be used for contour. It is not that dark, but applies nicely to my skin, and blends out well.

Cherry(blush), and Angel(highlighter)
This is the blush and highlight, the blush is very nice, and blends out nicely, which is good because the blush is very pigmented, so use a light hand! It swatches with a bit of shimmer, but you can't see it on the cheeks. The highlight is gorgeous, and reminds me a bit of the Mary-loumaniser from the balm (don't quote me on that though!), but it is very flattering for my skin type.

Easy(blush)- eek clown cheeks soz.
This is the blush. It is very pigmented, so tap off any excess, and use a light hand, or you may end up with circles, or clown cheeks (like above...), however it is blendable, but if you don't tap off excess it may take longer to blend out. This blush is quite shimmery, but doesn't have big chunks of glitter. It reminds me a bit of Nars 'Orgasm' in the sense that it is shimmery and gives you a nice glow.

Hush(highlighter)
This is a pinky highlight, and it doesn't really suit my skintone, but it may suit more pink toned people. The formula was nice and it applied nicely, but its just not my colour.

The colour O.C was a miss for me, although I loved the name (any O.C fans out there?), it didn't show up on my skin at all on first swatch, unlike all the other shades, and took many attempts to get it to show up on my hand, never mind my face!

The formula was great as all the shades were soft and blendable, and pigmented. The shades felt buttery and felt light and nice on my skin.

I do actually like this palette, as I can take just this for blush, bronzer and highlight to travel with, and  I don't need to take anything else, but I do wish they would have spent more time on O.C, and made it more pigmented, as it looked like a lovely shade.

Izzy

Kylie Jenner Lip Kit review

Kylie Jenner Lip Kit Review:

I purchased the shade 'Candy K'

The front of the packaging
The back of the box

The packaging was really cute! The parcel was a small black cardboard box, with white 'drips' coming down it. When I opened it, it was filled with pink curly bits of paper, and then I dug in to get the product, and the box was as above, however the colour on the box is darker than the actual lipstick.

This is what the lipliner looked like

The lipliner outlining the lips

My lips filled in with the lipliner

The lipliner was very creamy, and pigmented, and it glided onto my lips. You don't need to work at it, and it doesn't drag my lips, as I find that some of the mac ones do. It was quite dark, but it works with  a range of lipsticks I already own, which was very good. The lipliner was well worth it, however firstly the lid can come off quite easily, and secondly it can get quite blunt easily as it is very creamy, and doesn't sharpen easily, but I can get over it as the product is absolutely amazing!

The liquid lipstick bottle
The liquid lipstick on the lips in bright light (with lipliner)

The liquid lipstick on the lips in dark light (with lipliner)

The liquid lipstick was very nice, but quite dark compared to what I had seen online (google images), but that may just be because I have a lighter skin tone than those people. The liquid lipstick looks more like the dark light picture than the bright light picture in real life, as it is quite dark for me. The formula is very long lasting, as well as transfer proof, as it dries down completely matte very quickly.

These lip kits are however $29. I personally think that they are worth it, as the lip liner is very creamy, and one of the best on the market! The liquid lipstick looks different on the lips as it does in the bottle in my opinion, but it has a great formula, and dries down completely matte.

I love this, but if I could change one thing, I would make the shade lighter, or have purchased Koko K, but I do mix it with Jeffree Star 'I'm Nude' to make it lighter.

I hope this helps, or at least gives you an insight to the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit trend.

Izzy

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick review

JEFFREE STAR VELOUR LIQUID LIPSTICK REVIEW

I purchased the shade 'I'm Nude'.

The box

The packaging was really nice, and do was the wand. The wand was quite fluffy, and it applied the lipstick to my lips really nicely.

The wand
The bottle
The actual product was a bit too light for me, I had an inkling it might me, as I am not that light of a skintone, compared to other people.
A close up
From a distance

As you can see, there was a bit of concealer lips going on up there... To be honest my application could have been better, but I just needed to have fairer skin for it to look good. I didn't line my lips as well, so maybe with some lipliner underneath it could work.

I do, however mix it with my Kylie Lip Kit in Candy K (review coming soon), and it makes a perfect nude shade. I also mix it with me Jouer lip cream in Dulce de Leche, to make an amazing light pinky purple.

The formula is good, the wand makes it easy to put on. Once the lipstick is applied it dries down quickly, however it can be a bit tacky, but not tacky to the point of your lips sticking together.
The lipstick was quite opaque on me, and didn't need more than one coat which was good.

In conclusion the shade was not right for me, but would look lovely on lighter skin tones. The formula was good, and application was fine, but I just wouldn't wear this shade on its own, as it really doesn't suit me.

Hello!

HELLO!

Hi Guys, this is my first blog post, so I thought that i would tell you a bit about myself first;

- I am 15 years old (4th May 2001)

- I love makeup and skincare, and stuff, and as a result this is mostly what my blog will be about.

- I started my makeup obsession when I first started watching youtube, and I watch many beauty bloggers, so I started to buy many things, and...

- ... Thats when I decided to start a blog, because I keep buying so many new things, I might as well write about them!

- Ten minutes or so before I started writing this, I purchased a new liquid lipstick- a famous formulated one, and so I thought 'If I keep buying cult products, or any makeup product really, I could share my thoughts, and write about them.'

- This is a really exiting opportunity for me (excuse my inner makeup geek coming out), and even if nobody reads this blog, I will still be able to share my thoughts on each blog post.

Before I leave, I just want to say to whoever reads this, thank you for checking out my blog, and i'll see you next time for another blogpost.
